There is a good choice of Muslim food stalls upstairs at the Central Market.
Restoran Hajjah Latifah on the corner of Jln Pantai near the market is highly recommended for mixed rice dishes, as are the nearby Restoran Hj Narudin, and Al Amin behind the Shangsan Hotel.
