Taman Tumbina, Bintulu

The name of Taman Tumbina encompasses its vision to be a centre for Flora and Fauna appreciation in Bintulu. A combination of the words TUMbuhan (meaning Plants) and BINAtang (animals), Taman Tumbina is a botanical and zoological garden.

The garden was created to be A Living Heritage Of The Flora & Fauna Of Borneo, while providing local communities with a recreation and tourism product, education for the younger generation as well as to encourage conservation.

Officially opened 2 August 1991 and is spread over 57 hectares of hilly terrain overlooking the South China Sea, Bintulu Town and Tanjong Kidurong Industrial Estate.

The Park opens at 9.00am to 4.30pm daily, and is just a short 5 minute walk from Tanjung Batu Beach.

Transportation:

The park is located within Tanjung Batu Recreational Area, at the end of Jalan Tun Razak.  5km from Bintulu town centre. Public transport (Buses and taxis) are readily available.
