It is said that the hot springs contain a lot of mineral substances and has medical value which is good for the body. The average temperature of the hot springs is 42 degrees; after soaking in it for a while you’ll perspire and detoxify your body. Annah Rais Hot Spring
Many longhouse tourists visit Annah Rais Hot Spring, which is located nearby Kuching’s oldest Bidayuh longhouse. In the dense bamboo forest there is a beautiful river; in the river there is a man made pool of stone pebbles with hot spring water. So you get hot water with steam rising inside the pool and cool and refreshing river water outside. Since the pool is quite shallow, you can sit inside. After soaking your body in the 40 degree hot springs, you will feel very relaxed.
In this forest environment, slow down and observe your surroundings, and you may notice colourful butterflies dancing in the air; look at the sky, and birds may be flying high above your head. I recommend you to soak yourself in the river water after the hot springs: hot and cold water alternately ̶ to reenergise and refresh your body.
