SARAWAK TOURISM BOARD WELCOMES PRODUCT MANAGERS FROM AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND

Kuching: A group of 25 product managers from the travel fraternity in Australia & New Zealand arrived in Kuching yesterday to experience for themselves firsthand the product offerings that Sarawak has. Accompanied by officials from Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines in Sydney, the group were welcomed by officials from Sarawak Tourism Board upon their arrival at the Kuching International Airport.

The group’s visit to Sarawak is not only to experience for themselves the destination but also to add on product offerings yet to be featured, packaged and sold to the Aussies and New Zealanders.  They will also be meeting up with local operators in a business matching session to be held here.

This trip, made possible through the assistance of Malaysia Airlines and Tourism Malaysia Sydney, is the outcome of Sarawak’s marketing efforts in these regions and Sarawak Tourism Board’s strategy of promoting the destination as a place where adventure lives, has no doubt attracted them.

Whilst in Kuching, the group who will be the guests of Sarawak Tourism Board, will visit the Semenggoh Rehabilitation Centre among others.Their visit to Sarawak would not be complete without a visit to the World Heritage Site of Mulu, to where they will proceed from Kuching before returning to Australia.
